Originality of Work

Originality of Work and Prohibition of AI-Generated Content

The International Journal of Health Disciplines (IJHD) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Therefore, all submitted manuscripts must adhere to the following principles:

Originality of Work

  • Submitted manuscripts must be the original work of the authors and must not have been previously published, in whole or in part, in any language.
  • The work must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All data, results, and interpretations must be genuine and derived from the authors’ own research.
  • Any content borrowed from other sources—such as text, figures, data, or ideas—must be properly cited in accordance with the Vancouver referencing style.
  • Manuscripts will be screened using reliable plagiarism detection software. Any submission with evidence of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical overlap with prior publications will be immediately rejected or retracted, in line with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

Prohibition of AI-Generated Content

  • IJHD strictly prohibits the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard/Gemini, Claude, Copilot, etc.) to generate, rewrite, summarise, or assist in creating the intellectual content of the manuscript.
  • AI-generated text, tables, figures, images, or references are not allowed.
  • The use of AI tools for limited language editing or grammar correction may be permitted only if fully disclosed in the Acknowledgements section.
  • The final responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, and originality of the manuscript lies solely with the human authors.
  • Undisclosed use of AI tools will be considered a violation of authorship ethics and may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, and notification to the authors’ institutions.

IJHD upholds the ethical principles established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and COPE, and expects all authors to do the same.
